Quick guidelines
- 1 Take photos in shade or indirect light. Direct sun can hide a dent.
- 2 Include one wide shot of the panel and one close-up of each damage point.
- 3 For dents, capture them at an angle so they catch the light.
- 4 For collision damage, include the surrounding panels too.
- 5 Have your VIN handy. It is on the dash by the windshield or the driver door jamb. Add your license plate too if you have it.
